Today I need to phone the Cairns Showgrounds, the satellite guy, the cupboard door guy, the insurers and the new windscreen guy, and the hospital…
Well, the Council has closed the Showgrounds to campers – under pressure from Caravan Parks obviously – all but 3 of which don’t accept pets. And those 3 are way out of town… There is no point in going to Cairns until the satellite stuff arrives; which may be today or tomorrow. So we will just have to stay put in this beautiful corner maybe another day. Then get in and out of Cairns in a day,
Taking Des and Sandra to lunch at the Teahouse Restaurant today. They have been very generous taking us about and even loaning us the car for a day… They are leaving tomorrow for sure.
Meanwhile organized drinks with the owners at 5:300ish. Great time, but too many beers…
