7-10th August

The weather has been delightful, the neighbours all pretty good, and some interesting...

Honeys treat while we went out...
she demolished it completely
7th we had a combined birthday (Sandra 6th) and anniversary (us 8th) at the Croc Eye Cafe. They normally have fish and chips on Tuesday night but Des had booked (bullied them) in January, so we had a serious a la carte choice (ordered the day before). crocodile san chou bow (or bau...) for me. Delicious. Also celebrating the owners, Rick and Kelly, one (or so) years in operation. Great night out and a short walk 'home'.

8th, our nineteenth anniversary! Fresh caught fish and chips by the beach, and bought some new chairs - much better! Light supper that night.

9th, a real chill out day, read books mainly, chat to temporary neighbours. How about an Indian couple from Punjab, recently of Texas USA, and now on a round the world ride on their BMW... Just ridden from Darwin... Heading south etc, etc, then Africa...

along our morning walk around Daintree
We have however put a stake in the sand, so to speak, and booked at Karumba Point Sunset Caravan Park from the 21st August, so that will mean about 5 leisurely days available to get from Malanda to Karumba, and there is stuff to see and do along the way...

10th Well it's packing up day. Back to Glen Allyn tomorrow morning. Our neighbours - who shall remain nameless are packing too. How to fit in the essentials is a problem.

I spent half an hour with a hose washing most of the mango flowers seeds twigs, leaves off the roof and the RH awning. Will all need a serious scrub
