17th August - Mt Surprise

The night got a little cool early in the morning and pulling the blanket over the doona fixed that! I have woken early with a splitting headache so have postponed the Undarra bit. The tour starts with climb to the rime of a crater a walk around and then down through some lava tubes. Being off the pace is not going to be helpful...

Elizabeth Creek

After a leisurely break we are all up for a walk. There is a path from the back corner of the park down to a creek, so we are off - picking our way through and over the volcanic rock that makes the path. All need to watch our footing. At the end is a very pretty babbling brook. Nice to hang a bout a little while in the cool and moist.

We are veging out for the PM, reading etc... and loaning tools to the new neighbours, who have broken an oil pipe. Six people and 3.5 dogs right next door. The point five is Honeys size and weight and even has the same defensive growl and bark. At least the 2 pint sized watchdogs are not competing

Rest of the chicken in a special Maz Chicken Salad for dinner and a good sleep needed for tomorrows postponed Tour...
