After I finished the blog last night we were at the rail looking over the river, and actually saw it... The rumoured crocodile that hangs out under the jetty!!! A spash and lunge, after something right off the end of the jetty. Just had the impression of the spinal spikes then the substantial bow-wave...
Eased into the day, as usual. Didn't get to Mossman yesterday, so this morning its on. Need a 10 mm spanner and a couple of stainless steel shackles... a bit of food, and some beers... Stopped at a beach south of Wonga for a tourist photo op...

We arrived back to a big excavator heading down to the river (at low tide) to do some 'dredging' around the boat ramp and jetty... From the bottom of the ramp the operator built himself a levy out into the water and is seriously moving sand. As the water drains away the machine moves further out - without sinking!

After a fresh sandwich lunch and whilst contemplating what to do next our friends from last year turn up... A day early. Well at first Des on the Electraglide, then Sandy driving the Winnebago towing the Grand Vitara. Surely they are a day early? Someone stuffed up the booking... Fortunately there site is vacant! So we have lost our balcony view a day early. Great to see them again.
Another 'monster has arrived a 12m old Volvo towing yet another Grand Vitara...
Beer o'clock has come early today, but the serenity is destroyed by the excavator taking advantage of the low tide... Finally have to give it away and have a feed and a bit of a lie-down.
