We put all the bedclothes we have on the bed last night, fortunately. It was a freezing (maybe 4-5 degrees) night and the first few hours of the morning we are huddling waiting for the sun to get to work.
It's Sunday; it's shopping day and back to Atherton Woolies... then 'home'. Time to tackle the alternator bolt. Turns out the bolt is seriously 'worked'. quire worn at the thread end and the threads are not flash. I am optimistic that the Toolmaker at Malada will have a suitable bolt, or at least a nut (on Monday morning). Take longer to wash all the grease and soot off me than get the bolt out...
The front suspension is still nice and tight... oh forgot that at Mossman Saturday we stopped to try AutoZone for metric nuts. Only had up to 12mm, but bought a set of metric double ring spanners up to 24mm and the biggest is nearly 500mm long. So plenty of leverage for the big nuts!!!
Maz meanwhile is watering the gardens (with bore water). The garden has obviously not been constantly wet since we left - as it was for the first few weeks!!! So in the afternoon sun it's reading time.
