Heading out from Freshwater through Armstrong we stopped to use the public toilet. Looked, and thought better of it...On the way back to (south) Sarina we passed a huge Queensland Rail service depot - HUGE. More coal trains kilometres long.
Next stop is Greenhill south of Cape Palmerston. Big CP far from the coast and pretty bare...

| Clariview of not much |
Next town is Carmila, we had fuelled there on the way north but did not detour out to the beach. Beach is uninspiring, tired beachside locality and an ordinary beach. Free camping none the less but pretty sandy. Even had a Dump Point next to the drop toilets, so we used that.
It would be an okay stop, but we kept going.

By passed the deture to Flaggy Rock, but got off the highway into Clairview, again very ordinary corner, but some free camping spots (for overnight...)

| St Lawrence boat ramp |
Then St Lawrence which is the Centre of Isaac shire. We decided to head for the water.
Well after a long and windy dirt road we found the boat ramp. Definitely tide dependant, and the tide was out as were two boats. Unbelievable grey tidal mud, and more mud...
Detoured into Marlborough, which is about 70km south. Could not see the one horse which lives there, but did make a toilet stop, and phoned ahead to Yeppoon. No luck with first two CPs but booked a spot for a couple of nights at Poincianna at Cooee just south of Yeppoon proper ($29.50pn $40+ at some!)
