First up its last nights - last KU sunset...Today it's west from Kunanurra. We have several plans... Halls Creek; MaryPool rest area; or further.
But need to cross the ORD at the Lake Kununurra Dam - where they are working on the many, many weir gates....
Then lots of East Kimberleys then not Kimberleys... the flat bit in the middle... so at Warman stopped to take pix of the airport... well helipad for Bungles Flights next to the Roadhouse.
On to Halls Creek - or as known to my Cousin Bill (Willie when he was little) a WA copper for 35 years.... Hells Crack...
Filled up, had a chat to the new Catholic Deacon... I guess they have to do hard time to get 'frocked' these days! Had no wish to hang about. So we speculated on the free camp another 120 further on... Mary's Pool in the Mary River - but would have spent the last 5 hours of the heat stationary, little shade - kept going.
Aiming for Fitzroy Crossing... a few KM later a coolant warning...and in the Hino it comes with an un-ignorable buzzer! Shit.
Topped up the coolant, but the water pump is a bit wobbly... tech term, and leaking oil - check oil, okay. Had checked of course with the daily inspection this morning... so...
Anyway got worse, multiple topups with water and check oil. Sweating on the last 100KM to Fitzroy Crossing. Maz knew something was up as she was filling water bottles, but I decided to sweat it out. Side of the road two days running was not a good thing!!!
So we have staggered into the only (nice) accommodation in FC - the Fitzroy Crossing Lodge (and CP camping ground) and we are here "for a while and may be some time..." so if bad things come in 3's, we are in trouble!

But I am stuffed and it is past COB in the East - so tomorrow... This place is , however better then the side of the road, pool, tennis, restaurant... at a price...
