the Pink Lake is really this colour!!!
Off again for a leisurely day today/ It is 150KM to Geraldton passing the Pink Lake - so named because it is, apparently... pink. Then Port Gregory, a 5KM detour. we will look, just because it is there...

Port Gregory. The rest is one shop and some houses

Coming into Geraldton
Then it is Geraldton, biggest city on the coast, so it is shopping time. Woolies... or Coles or IGA!!! The Woolies Mall has a telstra shop - with stock of iPhone 5's - tempted... but still not convinced!
However I did buy a pre-paid 4G wifi broadband modem - the new model. Have since put my post-paid SIM in it. it is locked to Telstra, but works a treat, and can handle 10 devices. The old one has been a bit, well temperamental.
We indulged in a mugachinno and a quiche for lunch/brunch and loaded up the bus with the groceries - again. We clocked up 11,000KM into Geraldton!!!! And now it's off down the Brand Highway. Dongara is less than 100KM doen the road - and Port Denison is 3km further on - to the coast... We are booked there, just for the night.

South Beach at Port Denison
Lots of space... no crowds here. And it is windy as all get out. we have had a 30+kph quartering headwind all the way today. So we have parked the bus to shelter the door side. After a walk to the beach - which is piled high with seaweed from the very strong and constant 'sea breeze', we have adjoured home.

Eventually we gave up and moved inside out of the wind. Might as well head on in the morning.
