4th Oct - last day and night at Denham

Half a plan to take the bus to Monkey Mia today... but we will head out there early tomorrow morning, after checking out. Dolphin feeding is several times each morning. They vary the times so the dolphins don't just hang around - and they have the afternoon to go do dolphin things...

There is a 'fish factory' here which we will visit, and probably stock up with local fresh caught fish. It is about 1.5km up the road. A nice walk - now that my left leg is coming good. Oh, and also Honey has got over her bout of diahorea - thank goodness.

The fish place is not quite as indicated on the map - in the industrial area. But we found it! Stocked up with local whiting and red emperor. The did have some frozen spanish mackerel, but the fresh is good.

Headed back to town an alternate route which took us past a small church also made of shell blocks, much more regularly cut, or trimmed - and consequently not as interesting as the Old Pearler. So we have finally made and hour or so and maybe 4KM walk this morning. My calf is now killing me - and I have a blister on the other foot. Exercise is obviously dangerous!

So another afternoon ahead chilling, reading, phoning - and blogging. To be followed by Peri Peri Chicken at some point...

Tomorrow we will head off early to Monkey Mia, stay a while, then refuel back at Denham and head for Kalbarri. We have a CP booking with a dog in the school holidays!!! Smooth talker? We joined the Top Tourist Parks at the office here so will reap the 10% discount at the TTP in Kalbarri... Cost $30 for two years and we have saved $12 already at Denham!
