This morning we went for a walk... down to the foreshore, and discovered that it is not the main Gascoyne River estuary but a separate, cut-off branch. Still a pretty foreshore. The River is a couple of KM north. We might drive around a bit after we check out tomorrow.
And so we wandered around Carnarvon town centre and foreshore - well, I hobbled - for several kilometres. And it is a beautiful day in the making.
Only Woolies and a few shops in the centre were open, naturally. WA is closed on Sundays, so for a Public Holiday... Back at the CP it is time to find our next stop for Tuesday. Tried Monkey Mia; no vacancy til 6th. However at Denhan we have booked a site for (at least) two nights. With that settled it is time to finish my book on the Kindle.
The park is filling up quite a bit in the afternoon, and we have new next door neighbours - who we met at Fitzroy Crossing.
