10th Oct - Cervantes to ... almost Perth

Indian Ocean drive
Set out with no particular plan... aside from head south towards Perth, and stop in striking distance. We detoured into Lancelin for a look around, then continued, checking out a couple of campsites on the way. Decided we would try for Burns Beach CP, on the coast about 30km north of Perth CBD - 25 north of Owen and Ali.

They had a space, in fact a few, when we arrived about midday. We are parked facing south and next to the boundary fence on the west. There is a walkway and 25m of grass to the limestone cliff top - then the Indian Ocean. Excellent - except for the $44 per night!

yep another sunset photo...
I have made a decision about the Vitara and accepted a quote for a replacement engine - $2100... and it may take up to a week, and the place is the other side of Perth. We will deliver the car tomorrow after the 'peak hour' traffic thins out. So check out at 10:00 works out. We now have all the Perth dog-friendly parks in the TomTom, but no plan for tonight - aside from seeing Owen and Ali sometime today.
