Was trying to figure out anomalies in fuel consumption, now that we are very rested and relaxed. Forgot that we had topped up the Suzuki - on a non detailed invoice... And also did proper sums on the first fill - 300km Swanhill to Mulwala in 2012 and 200 for the first leg in 2014 hence 40% of the first top up was for the Mulwala-Narrandera leg.
Then I realised that we have only done 102 km since Cairns so there is a full tank less 102km at say 21 l/100km (or there is about 100l or $170 left in the tank...)
So amended, better and more accurate figures for Mulwala Daintree...
603 litres of diesel costing $979 for 3207 km making it average 21 litre/100km for 34 cents/km!
Our neighbour (not the noisy one) from WA, has a Landcruiser with a 6.5 litre turbo diesel, towing a 6+m caravan and consumes 24 litres per 100 km!!!! I feel better.
