1st November !! Busselton to Albany

What a shitty weather day ahead - according to forecast. Don't know how far we will go, or how much we will dilly dally on the way...

We hit the rolling hills and some actual trees not far along. First stop is at Manjimup; coffee in the bus. We are starting to get into the southern forests.Bypass the Diamond Lookout Tree an old fire spotters perch at the top of a 52M Karri tree - one has to climb the spiral spike in the tree... it is bitterly cold and showery. Not even a photo op.

At Walpole we regain the coast - well actually an inlet of the Frankland River. Checked out the water views and continued. Passed Nornalup, and not much further down the road is the 'Valley of the Giants' and tree canopy walk.

By now it is freezing, but we have a look at the old big trees up the valley. and of course it costs to go out on the tree top gantry... plus we don't have enough warm clothes out...

Continue down the South Coast Highway to Denmark on the Wilson Inlet. Pretty corner - keep going. We will get to Albany early-mid-afternoon, fill up all the fuel tanks and jerry-cans and stop there. Weather permitting we will then snoop around.

The weather is not permitting, terrible we cannot even see the wind generators across the water... it is 12 degrees feels like 10C with the wet wind... We will stay in.

13,000 KM clicked over today!!! 2650 KM to Adelaide - well Salisbury Heights. 850 KM from there to HOME!!

Maybe Esperance tomorrow... 480KM!!
